A Christian Maternity Home

The vision of Sunlight Home is to break the cycle of poverty and abuse for pregnant women and teens.

Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered environment for pregnant women of all ages so they can be renewed through emotional and physical wholeness and spiritual training. We believe this is accomplished through church attendance, Bible study, counseling, parenting and child birth classes, and through our love and concern. Our greatest mission is to help each mother understand that their unborn babies and their children are a precious gift from God.

History
Sunlight Home was founded in June of 1994 to help break the cycle of poverty and abuse for pregnant women and teens through a Christ-centered environment.

Since we opened in 1994, we have served hundreds of pregnant women and their children and we have witnessed the positive effect of the hard work put forth by the residents, the staff and our 12 member governing board.

Since the founding of Sunlight Home we have never received government funding and have been able to operate the program that serves as many as 20 resident and their children a year through private donations and private grants. Many churches and organizations have come along side Sunlight to assure a home atmosphere to moms and their children in crises.

Because we are a God based program we are able to offer hope in a hopeless situation.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God says;
“I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord: Plans to prosper you not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.

We strive to offer every one that comes through our doors the future and hope that this verse speaks of. Thank you for all you do to help us through your time and your donations.
